The original inventory was compiled between 1615 and 1630 by Pierre Dupuy and Theodore Godefroy. This copy, like the majority of the many in existence, follows the original closely and gives in the margin the pagination of the original, to which contents-lists and indexes refer. The general arrangement is the same as that of the first printed edition of 1681 (except that Titles 18 and 19 appear in reverse order) but the text is rather shorter, many of the decisions quoted are earlier, and the titles are divided into fewer paragraphs. It is followed by an index of subjects discussed (page 409), and a contents list of each Title (page 413), both written apparently in different hands, neither being that of the text. The volume lacks apparently one leaf at the end.
